Philosophy |
Physiotherapy works with you and your body to assist you in your recovery from injury, pain, disease or dis-function and uses a practical approach to look at the root causes behind them to allow true healing to occur.
This may include looking at life-style choices, work and self-care, offering professional advice on posture, gait and movement, and using hands-on treatments such as soft tissue therapies, restoring joint range and movement, massage, ultrasound, laser, stretching and exercises to help support your recovery. Whether it be for an old or recent injury, chronic pain, rehabilitation post surgery or a stress related problem such as headaches or poor sleep, there is much available to support you in both recovery and prevention of reoccurrence. |
Our bodies are a reflection of all our choices that brought us to this point and by looking at these we can begin to understand how and why our body behaves as it does. From there we are able to make more caring choices and start to heal ourselves. The way we live and how we go about life is then in itself our medicine every moment of everyday and is worthy of much greater awareness in our lives. This includes how we eat, how we sleep, our relationships and every aspect of our daily lives.
Consent - Your session is an on-going partnership, which means that treatments can be further discussed, changed or discontinued at any time if wished and you are welcome to be accompanied during your treatment if preferred. |
‘If one understands the real meaning and purpose of human life,
then one will know that - ‘medicine is life itself’ just as ‘life itself is medicine’.
Under, and with that understanding, one will comprehend with ease the fact that –
‘all one does in human life, is either ‘good medicine’ or ‘bad medicine’, and, there is no middle ground’ ~ Serge Benhayon
